I could not have asked for a better homebuying experience than the one I received with the Spotlight Home Team and Daniel DeCapua. As a first-time buyer searching on a budget, I was naive about many facets of the process while also having some specific needs that I was not fully able to articulate when I started my search. I likely would count as a nuisance client for most buying agents. Daniel gave me the utmost attention through every step, even with some home viewings before I was fully ready to proceed with offers, to help frame my reference. He showed an acute memory of my situation and needs, and was thorough in his explanation of factors that I could look for on my own listing searches. I contacted Daniel on a referral from friends who bought a home two years ago, and Daniel remembered the specifics of their situation to the extent of being able to explain the ways in which my search would differ from theirs.He was ready and willing to tell me when a home would not meet my needs, even if that meant we would not proceed with an offer that day. His hustle was palpable, and after a fairly easy search (for me), I found a beautiful house in stellar condition, in a great location, within my budget. I was hoping to find some constructive criticism or caveat to write about, so that this would not look like a fake AI-generated review... but sincerely, I cannot think of a moment in the process that gave me pause for Spotlight's part. It is particularly that mix of patience with me as a client, paired with hustle when calling and searching on my behalf, that stands out. I will have no qualms about referring to Daniel every single one of my friends who mention that they are looking to buy in Southeast Michigan, and if the time ever comes to sell my new home, I know exactly who I will call.
