A good friend recently said she is looking to buy a home. Without hesitation, I recommended the realtor who last year helped me sell and buy my homes: agent Graeme Parrinello of the Gunderman Group.Actions speak louder than words here. After Graeme and team helped prepare and sell my Oakland home early in the year, I chose to sign again with Graeme to buy my new home in spring. I’m glad I did. Both processes went very well, and I would recommend anyone selling or buying in the East Bay and surrounding areas to speak to Graeme before you decide on your agent. He and his team are smart, easy-going, enjoyable to talk with - and they get the job done. I know they are luxury realtors, but they took on my central Oakland 1926 vintage lovely that had been updated with much careful DIY flair. Their team made my house look great online and in person - and in a softening market I received several offers within two weeks of listing. They also took care of a lot of the last minute improvements that we all agreed to - taking many things off my plate that I didn’t have to worry about or pay for upfront. I believe their efforts gave my home the best chance to sell early and for the best asking price.A few months later, when I was looking to buy in communities as different as Martinez, Crockett, Benicia and Vallejo, Graeme was a knowledgeable and helpful partner in narrowing down the field. Most importantly, he was always on top of communications around my listings of interest. And he was good on the ground doing preliminary inspecting of the properties I looked at. In these ways and others, Graeme made the process go smoothly - and even enjoyably at times. He is a great communicator who probably stopped me from buying the wrong house. I am very happy where I landed, and how well it all worked out. By the way, Graeme was recommended to me by a former neighbor who was also pleased with her home sale. I was happy to recommend them to my friend as well. As I told her, it is absolutely essential to get the very best real estate professionals you can find. So I would especially recommend Graeme to anyone who may shy away from the “luxury” label. Graeme is down to earth and approachable, and clearly is willing to help buy and sell properties in zip codes no one would call lux. So don’t be afraid to aim high and reach out to the best, especially for something as important as finding or selling a home.

She was calm, knowledgeable, and great at communicating updates and issues. The GG offers services that no other realtors we interviewed can match. They organized and supervised a $300k renovation of our parents' old Orinda home, and marched it to a quick sale just below their well chosen market price. Because GG is not reimbursed for the renovation expenses until closing, they are highly incentivized to get the work done quickly and at a high quality. Since the seller children live out of state, we could not have hired, overseen the fleet of workers as well or as quickly as they did under the commendable leadership of Maureen, the project manager. We are very impressed by their service and recommend them to others with high end homes, especially if they need updating.
