Working with Kate's team--with a special shout out to Sheila Mofrad, my primary agent--was an exceptional experience. I especially appreciated the quick responses to my questions and the rapid arrangement of inspections and vendor visits. The house was made available as-is at a transparent price while plans were being made for an interior refresh. It sold in about 7 days at my dream asking price in January/February 2026, without the refresh, thanks to the work of the Kate McCaffrey Group!

If you’re selling a home in or near Alameda, working with Kate McCaffrey and her team is the smartest decision you can make. I went through the sales process this spring and even with real estate experience (I have multiple investment properties and mortgage and real estate licenses), finding the right agent was a daunting task. I was incredibly fortunate to be able to work with Kate, Courtney and the rest of the team.What truly sets Kate apart is her strategic, seller-focused approach. She’s committed to maximizing your sale price, not just making a quick deal. Many agents face a conflict of interest, as selling homes quickly is more profitable for them personally than holding out for the highest price for each of their sellers. Kate, however, consistently puts her clients’ interests first, even when it means more work or less immediate profit for her. This level of advocacy is rare and hard to identify when interviewing agents.A common mistake sellers make is focusing solely on minimizing commission costs. But with a skilled agent like Kate, the higher sale price she achieves more than makes up the difference in commission compared to discount or less-experienced agents—the net result is more money in your pocket. Saving on commission only to get a lower sale price just doesn’t add up. Her commission is higher, and it should be, as it reflects the tremendous value she adds. Kate priced my home perfectly and marketed it with creativity and precision, attracting multiple offers. Her negotiation expertise and steel nerves on offer day were critical to securing a higher price when I was frankly too stressed and overwhelmed to think straight. It would’ve been easy for her to let me accept a fair price and move on but as a true advocate, she pushed for more even when I hesitated, and the final sale price exceeded what I’d hoped for by a significant margin. That difference means a lot to my family and I can’t recommend Kate and her team highly enough. Thank you Kate, Courtney, Sophia and McKenzie!

From start to finish, the KMG team was always professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and available to answer my questions and take me each step of the way. KMG truly knows the local real estate market, and I felt confident relying on their expertise, which paid off immensely! The KMG Team is super organized and accommodating of your goals and schedule. They provided a long-term roadmap for preparing and staging the home, completing the required paperwork and inspections, listing and showing the home, and then updated each stage in real time with detailed information. They also provided in-depth market projections and offered various selling strategies, all subject to my input and approval. Selling a home can be stressful but having such an experienced and knowledgeable team managing it all made it a genuinely enjoyable experience. My house looked amazing on listing day and sold at the very high-end of what KMG projected.

They’ve helped us sell 2 houses and her business partner helped us to buy 1 and we truly can’t recommend them enough!! Their expertise in the industry and vast network gives you peace of mind the whole way. From the start they are professional and caring people. They take great pride in what they do and the name that they’ve built as the top team in the area. There are a lot of unknowns in buying and selling a home, but they give great guidance and expertise the whole way. For our first home we used their inhouse construction management services for staging, photos, inspections and copy writer for the description. For the second home we decided we wanted to go a more private route and did an “Off Market/Private exclusive”. If you’re unsure ask about both options and they will give great guidance. Both sales were seamless, and they exceeded our expectations in every way! They are a trustworthy team and will work diligently for you from start to finish!!
