Jim has now helped us with our second home purchase. He is very knowledgable and wise with his negotiations, saving us tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket on each purchase. He does not "sugar coat" things, and that honesty is very helpful when making such a big decision. He knows the area well, and has a long list of experiences and anecdotes for justifying his recommendations. He also does in-depth market analysis to help with his decision making, relying on modern technology to assist him. I highly recommend him.

Jim was absolutely AMAZING! When we told him we were two kids in a trenchcoat level of home buying knowledge, he made sure to cover everything! He even made sure that any questions we may not have thought about were asked when dealing with viewings, inspections, etc.! Not toention we had a very short timeline of buying a home but he made sure we were well informed, well prepared, and that we wouldn't settle for something just because we had a short suspense. He wanted us to have our home fast but he wanted us happy with it. Jim is honestly a S++ tier realtor.

We cannot recommend Jim highly enough. When we traveled from the West Coast to Charlottesville for our house-hunting trip, Jim generously shared his extensive knowledge of the area and took the time to show us several homes and neighborhoods. His insights helped us quickly identify the communities that best fit our needs, and his friendly, down-to-earth personality made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free.As we continued the home-buying process remotely, Jim was incredibly responsive and provided excellent virtual showings, giving us confidence in every step of the process. Once we decided to move forward with purchasing our home, Jim went above-and-beyond to handle all of the in-person details on our behalf. His virtual final walk-through (we needed to close on the house prior to driving across the country) was thorough, and gave us confidence to move forward on closing. Even after closing, Jim was there for us to prepare some key items for us prior to our arrival. On top of his expertise and professionalism, Jim is honestly a great person to get to know.

We bought our first home through Jim in 2021, and I am thoroughly convinced that had we gone with a different realtor, we would have never had the opportunity we did to land our dream home, especially with such ease. His responsiveness, connections, and experience got us right in the door in the nick of time. The realtor you choose makes a huge difference in the buying and selling process, and Jim is the guy you want on your team. He is truly an expert when it comes to Charlottesville and the surrounding areas, as well as telling you what you need to hear (not just what you want to hear). 4 years later, he was the first one we called to represent us when we made the call to sell our home and move out of state. Jim worked with my husband and me for well over a year looking for a house. He took us to more properties than I can count, and throughout that time, we couldn't have asked for more in a realtor. He's been in the business for over twenty years, in this area, so he knows every builder, he knows what to look for, and he knows what to ask. Jim would catch a problem with the yard, a room that couldn't really be put to good use, an "office" that couldn't really be used that way because sound would travel, a water heater that would need replacing soon, a roof that was near the end of its life. He knows the ins and outs of every commute. We never got the sense that he was trying to push us one way or another. We just felt like every house we went to, if Jim didn't have all of the answers about the house, he could get them. We had total confidence in him. There just isn't any substitute for twenty plus years of experience. I would 100% recommend Jim to anyone.
