Damaris helped us sell our home when we moved, and even in this complicated housing market, she made our entire selling process seamless!From the very beginning, she was responsive, professional, and reliable. She showed up on time for our initial consults, answered every question thoroughly, and made sure we were constantly updated throughout the process. Since we were moved out of state and were even in a different time zone it was such a relief to know she was on top of everything and kept communication flowing seamlessly.What really stood out was her ability to listen. She took the time to understand our needs and was honest and realistic with expectations, which gave us confidence and peace of mind. Unlike other realtors we had considered, Damaris truly cared about what we wanted while also guiding us with her expertise.Her communication skills are outstanding, and she managed the entire process smoothly from start to finish. Even though we weren’t physically in Mississippi, she made selling our home stress-free and straightforward.If you are looking for a realtor who is professional, dependable, and genuinely invested in her clients, Damaris is the one. Update: I cannot give Damaris a positive review because my home was listed as 2,130 square feet, but I recently discovered it is actually only 1,462 square feet. At no point did Damaris, my realtor, inform me of this significant discrepancy. I only found out the correct size four months after closing. The seller and the seller's agent misrepresented the square footage on both the disclosure statement and the MLS listing.Today, when I called Damaris (who represented me as my realtor) I asked her why she didn't make me aware of the discrepancy she claimed it wasn't her responsibility but rather the appraiser's--something I strongly disagree with. Damaris was aware that I believed I was purchasing the home at 2130 because, throughout the process, I repeatedly mentioned how great the price was for the listed square footage, yet she never corrected me. While she may not have been legally obligated to disclose the exact square footage, she could have at least pointed out that something seemed off. Had Dmaris made me aware, I could have negotiated a lower price--especially since the house had been on the market for three months, providing ample opportunity for negotiation. Damaris's silence on the matter cost me that chance to negotiate and, more importantly, she lost my trust. I can't shake the feeling that she was not acting in my best interest, but rather in her own.WARNING: Now, I've also learned that in Mississippi, real estate agents cannot be held liable for incorrect square footage on MLS listings. Read Statue Below:Mississippi Code Ann. § 73-35-4.1 (d) A real estate licensee who has complied with the requirements of this section, as applicable, shall have no further duties to the seller or purchaser of real property regarding disclosed or undisclosed property size or area information, and shall not be subject to liability to any party for any damages sustained with regard to any conflicting measurements or opinions of size or area, including exemplary or punitive damages.
