Zak is a fantastic realtor! We worked with him to buy our first house over a decade ago and he helped sell that house this year. He is very responsive and knows how to price homes in the area. If we ever move back to Bloomington, we would definitely use him again!

I've bought 4 houses and sold 3 over the last 25 years and Zak has been the best agent I've ever worked with hands down. He helped my wife and I find the perfect house in Bloomington. More than that, for the past year since we bought the house, he has provided countless recommendations and introductions to everyone from electricians to contractors. His customer service ethic is truly best in class and I can't recommend him highly enough!

Zak was a tremendous asset as I came from Maine to Bloomington in January 2025 with my brother, Pete in IUHospice. Discussing Pete’s estate, Pete suggested that I call Zak since he helped Pete buy the house about 12 years ago and things went very well then and they appeared to enjoy each other. I call and introduce myself to Zak - he immediately says, “”Oh! I love Pete!” Zak was great with a quick meeting at Pete’s house which needed a lot of fixups. Zak was very reassuring and optimistic that all this was workable. Zack’s knowledge construction processes and a strong connection with the pro construction community was invaluable. Zak arranged all the work which was done after conversations with me and estimates of what we were getting into. Estimates were very accurate and shifts in costs were announced before they occurred. Zak communicated well with the estate attorney. I think Zack’s engagement with potential buyers and with me was done with excellent knowledge of the market and he handled the closing with the title company and my signing off remotely.My brother died a couple weeks after I met with him in January. I came down to Bloomington only one more time in April to pack up important belongings into a shipping container to be sent to Maine. Zak’s presence over the past 15 months was a great relief. I have no idea how many trips to Bloomington Zak’s skills saved me. Zack’s overall competence with both the legal and social aspects of selling/buying a house are remarkable. Thanks Zak!

Zak is amazing! I've worked with a few different agents in the last ten years and Zak is in his own league. He's incredibly responsive, deeply knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond in terms of extra things (making sure my fixer-upper would appraise for my mortgage!). Plus, he's just a genuinely pleasant person to work with. Even now, weeks after we closed, he's still checking in to make sure I've got the information I need for replacing my roof. Can't say enough good stuff about Zak--I'm so grateful I listened to the friends who recommended him.

Working with Zak Szymanski was an amazing experience, especially as a first-time home buyer. He was very approachable, responsive and helpful, answering any questions I had along the way, which eased my stress tremendously. He obviously cares about his clients and listens to their needs and wants without pressuring them. While looking at houses, he would check out things I wouldn’t think to look at such as the foundation or other structural aspects and point out anything that might come up in an inspection. Zak was also the listing agent for the home I purchased, and, even in a limited agency role, he was extremely ethical, transparent and fair. I never once felt like he favored one side or the other.After my closing date was moved up, Zak helped address some loose-ends with the house that were not completed prior to the sellers moving out, scheduling and arranging for contractors and even completing some of the work himself. He really went above and beyond even after I moved in! To top it off, he also provided an extensive list of service providers and contractors for home repair, maintenance, cleaning, etc. Zak proved to be a better realtor than I could have ever hoped for and I highly recommend him!

Zak is an amazing realtor. He helped me both in the buying and selling of my home. He's extremely knowledgeable, very communicative, and genuinely cares about you. When we first started looking for a home, six years ago, Zak took us to several different locations, explaining the pros and cons of each along the way. He was so good about educating us on what to look for when considering which house to purchase. When we did find the home we wanted, we knew after the viewing that it was the place for us, and Zak worked very quickly to get our offer in ahead of any others. Most recently, he did so much work getting the home ready to sell. When I had questions about who to get for certain inspections or repairs, he always had a suggestion and most often did all the legwork to get whatever needed done, assuming he wasn’t able to take care of the issue himself, being very handy. I’m so grateful to have had him as my realtor and could not recommend him, as a buying or selling agent, more strongly. He’s just an absolutely wonderful individual. Thank you, Zak, for everything.

I can't recommend Zak highly enough! We bought our townhouse from him many years ago and had a great experience so we called him back this year when we were ready to sell it. Another great experience. He is very knowledgeable about the area and gave us great advice. I also appreciate how quickly he responds to my many questions.

Following Zak's advice we waited till after we moved out to list. After we moved out, Zak handled some touch up work on the house, optimizing dollars and time spent for the best return on equity. Honestly I think he made us a ton of extra money. And he took care of all the work done after we moved out, we occasionally had to answer brief questions from him, but he handled all communications with contractors etc and got us great prices on all the work we did. Put in less than $10,000 and got back maybe 4-5 times that on increased sales price. He's brilliant. And also conscientious, helpful and responsive. Couldn't ask for a better realtor.
