- The Clever Market Pulse draws on housing data from Realtor.com, Redfin, Zillow, and the U.S. Census Bureau to track current local market conditions — including home prices, days on market, inventory levels, and sale-to-list ratios — updated monthly at the national, state, metro, and zip code level.
Methodology
We used public business directories and licensing databases to identify 2,534 real estate services real estate services we classify as “discount” brands. 39 of those brands were active in Harrisburg. We then manually verified pricing and service details for each company, categorizing them as either full-service or limited-service (our general service-level designation for flat fee MLS companies).
These flat fee MLS rankings pages feature brands and products we identified as limited-service. Full-service discount brands can be found in our discount real estate brokers library. Some companies offer both full-service and limited-service options, in which case they appear in both libraries — but we evaluate and rank each offering using separate, product-specific methodologies.
On this page, companies are ordered by Overall Value by default, which reflects a brand’s overall value relative to the services it offers and the price point of each plan in the market. You can also sort the companies according to other selection criteria:
- Price (low to high) orders companies based on the average cost of all plans a company offers in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
- Highest Rated is based on a combination of a company's customer rating and the number of times it's been reviewed. In other words, a company with a 4.9 rating and 500 reviews will rank higher than a 5.0 company with less than 10 reviews.
- Most Reviewed orders companies purely based on the number of reviews they've received from customers across platforms like Google, Yelp, Trustpilot, BBB, etc.
- Included Services counts the total number of listing services a company offers across all of its plans to surface the brands with the most comprehensive packages.
Once companies are ranked, we also highlight a small set of Top Picks within each market.
- These picks (Most Recommended, Cheapest Plan, Best Value, Most Services, Upgrade Pick) are chosen using transparent, rule-based criteria like price, included services, and premium features.
