We interviewed Michael spring of 2023 for the sale of our Million Dollar home on the Potomac River. We immediately felt confident Micheal was the agent for us. He was professional, well spoken, and had a tremendous track record in Fredericksburg.Throughout this soft Real Estate market, his listing produced many views, saves, and appointments. He and his companies followthrough and responsiveness was consistent throughout our listing process. We took the listing off the market in Nov 2023, then decided to re list Spring of 2024. Within a month we had multiple offers. Michaels outstanding negotiation skills elevated below list offers to a final contract of our listing price. The closing process presented some buyer hiccups with inspections and buyers concerns were handled quickly and efficiently . Micheal spent many hours handling these issues personally.We closed one week early. We made the smart and correct decision choosing the Gilles team to sell our home.

McLaren and Michael were always responsive to our requests and questions. They worked as a team and gave us great service. They negotiated a great price for our house and smoothed the communications through all the tasks of getting the house ready, getting it on the market, and getting potential buyers interested. Denise helped get us organized and got us through all the paperwork. We had an offer on the house within three days during a time when interest rates were rising.

If you're looking for a realtor, look no further than Mike and his team. They were incredible throughout the entire process of selling our home. His comps were spot on and we got exactly what we wanted for our home. He has more patience than anyone I've ever met and can handle any obstacle thrown in the way. Any time we had a question or needed clarification, Mike or someone with his team would be available. Above and beyond customer service, more than one could ask for. We bought our home in 2007, right before the market crash. Before we moved from Virginia to Ohio we consulted with the Gillies team. They recommended we rent the home for a few years and wait for the market to recover. I'm so glad we listened to their wise counsel! We followed their advice on getting the house ready for market, too. The result was that we had multiple offers, including offers over asking, within the first week of begin on the market. Even after the first offer fell through, the Gillies team was on top if it and got us under contract within 48 hours! We are extremely happy with their work, responsiveness by phone, text, and email, and friendly attitude. Michael Gillies was available to me by phone and text whenever I needed help or advice, kept me involved in the process, and answered all my questions. Denise was fantastic as well, keeping me up to date on the paperwork. Even Michael Sr. helped me when I needed it. To that point, a contractor visiting the house to power wash the exterior reported to me that the front door was unlocked (likely left open by another contractor there earlier in the day). I called the Gillies team and Mike Sr. personally drove out to the home, looked around to make sure everything was in order, and secured the house. He even called me from the house to let me know everything was okay!I highly recommend the Gillies team! Wonderful result, especially considering they were handling this from three states away!

The Gillies Team was extraordinary in the sale of our home. We moved out of our home across the country before listing the house for sale. The Gillies Team coordinated work to be done in our absence. Routine inspections and corrective activities were all coordinated in such a way that we had full confidence in the Team’s approach to marketing our home. As a result of their attention to detail, knowledge and skills, our house was under contract before it listed. Closing on the house across three time zones was easily coordinated by the Team with us, the buyers and the title company. Again, all activities were coordinated long distance, across three time zones, with energy and integrity. The Gillies Team—simply the best!

From start to finish, the Gillies Team was engaged and remained engaged and responsive to questions and concerns. We have known Mike Sr. and Cindy for many years previously through church, and became reacquainted with "little" Mike after a long absence, back when he was in his teen years. In the end, things went quicker than expected and we sold and closed ahead of schedule. Mike and Cindy and Michael and the rest of the team were super. Professional and caring all the way!!

What an amazing team. You don't just get the agent to work with, you get a whole team of experts. Michael could not have made the selling of my house any easier. With Julian doing a stupendous job of holding the open house, Carol with getting my questions funneled to the correct person and quickly, and Denise with bringing it all in to home plate. After 17 years in our family home we decided it was time to downsize and we needed to sell our home. As it had been such a long time since we had sold a home we wanted to find an agent who would guide us through the process again and help us “let go” of the house we loved but just couldn’t keep up with any longer. The Gillies Team was terrific. They were patient and attentive and very responsive to all our needs and inquiries. They helped us with everything that we needed to make our home appealing to buyers. We sold our very large and more expensive home much quicker than we thought we would. Their team put the time and effort in to our sale all the way through to settlement.
