A last-minute job offer with a super-quick turnaround left my husband Hugh and me with precious little time to find our dream home. We’d visited Maine on a few occasions and loved it, but being from North Carolina, we were completely out of our depth in considering both where to live and also which home would be the right fit for us. Enter Portside Real Estate Group. When I hopped on the internet and asked for the best real estate agents in Brunswick, Maine, Brent + Lisa’s group was at the top of the list. I immediately felt at ease in talking with Brent. He offered great insights and resources and then connected me with another team member, Addie Peet. Brent is an exceptional agent - he works tirelessly, responds quickly, and focuses on getting to the best outcome for everyone involved in a transaction. We discussed dozens of properties over a period of three years, including several aborted attempts, until we finally found one that fit our particular and specific needs (large with many rooms, very quiet street, excellent schools, but not fancy or too modern). As we were moving in from out of state Brent made himself available to fit our schedule, packing weekends with marathon viewings. During the offer process, he provided excellent insight and guidance and helped us feel secure in our choices. His dedication to clients and the industry is above and beyond expectation. Brent and Lisa are terrific to work with-knowledgeable, responsive, patient, thorough, flexible, great listeners-and just really nice people. We first met Brent almost a year before our purchase when we contacted him about one of his listings during our summer visit. We were just starting to consider a move back home to Maine, and he spent a lot of time with us that day, not knowing whether we’d actually even proceed with the move. Over the next several months, he worked with us from across the country as we explored new construction and existing properties, single family homes and condos. As we arrived in Maine, expecting a long search after selling our house in WA, Brent and Lisa had just the right property coming on the market in exactly the location where we hoped to be. They helped us seal the deal quickly and we closed just 2 weeks later. Brent and Lisa helped me sell an existing home and purchase another in the wild winter 2022 southern Maine real estate market. My previous home had quirks that could have made a sale challenging - Brent took the time to educate himself and prepare for the onslaught of questions from buyer agents; the property was under contract in just a few short days. Brent proactively negotiated very favorable terms to allow for my smooth and low-stress transition out of the property. Lisa is the glue that keeps the operation together and transactions moving; she (and Polly and Sunny!) were critical in helping me find (and win!) a new spot in a record-low inventory environment. I am so grateful for Brent and Lisa; Brent commented once "I hope I will always be your real estate agent!" - I can confidently say that will certainly be the case. Lisa and Brent are super agents. It was my first time trying to buy a home, and they successfully helped me with the entire process. I really didn't think there was any chance I could get this home in this market but they made it happen. I don't live in state where I purchased, which made it even more important that I included a team that new the area and everyone/everything involved. Couldn't be happier with how it all went down.
