My wife and I first met Greg in 2012. We had owned a small cottage in Groton Long Point and the 600 sq ft living area was getting too small to accommodate our summer visitors (too many sleeping bags to trip over in the morning!).By chance we ended up visiting a new build being shown by Greg and Brom Builders. Greg listened to our ‘small house, small budget’ dilemma. During that first interaction he without question assured us, that even though our budget was limited we could achieve a dream house. In a couple of days he took my 3 Post-It notes of the house I wanted to build, and voila! He created external and internal views on paper and by way of digital video, a complete walk-through. I was hooked. 10 months later we moved in … we had so much fun, Greg & Brom were so much fun to work with and everyday was like Christmas, we would walk the 20 yards to our new construction (we rented another cottage right across the street and just gasped at the progress each day, admittedly I always took the evening tour with a glass of red wine so was always happy!).Now the reason I tell this story … Greg is not just a realtor, he lives and breathes housing and construction, his enthusiasm and passion are inspirational. He knows building code inside out and can instantly tell you right from wrong. We have kept in touch with Greg throughout the years and shared a few chases on property over the period. Our latest was just a few months back where we secured our second home … Greg freely admitted that this was his quickest purchase ever People ask me, “How can you be friends with a realtor?” … quite easily … He is out not to ‘bone you’, he enjoys the service he provides and you can tell. I may be too old to buy another house, but hey who knows ?? if I do I will be giving him a call!

Our experience working with Greg Hanner over the past year was exceptional. What we found most valuable in our first home search was his background in building. He's honest about quality and is able to point out what may need work and when - this was reassuring to us especially since we ultimately bought an older house. His patience, knowledge of the market, and ability to walk us through the buying process simply but thoroughly made our experience less stressful than we had anticipated. Lastly, Greg's personality and energy was truly pleasant to be around. We would highly recommend Greg and Garden Realty to any buyers/sellers out there!

Greg was an exceptional agent during our home buying experience. My partner and I began looking for a home in an extremely competitive market, but he never let us feel discouraged. He was very knowledgeable and always made sure to share his knowledge and answered every question we had in great detail.What most importantly stuck with me was that he always made sure to always greet my kids or ask for them if they weren’t with us during a showing. I rarely, if ever, write reviews... but I feel compelled to sing the praises of Greg Hanner. Our buyer > agent relationship began when I called him out of the blue from 2,700 miles away. Greg was remarkably engaged from the very first moment and remained so throughout. He proved to be the consummate professional. Greg intently listens and he strategically advises, bringing his years of expertise to bear on the task at hand. I suspect that many real estate proceedings can come across as impersonal and merely transactional in nature. But, to the contrary, interacting with Greg is actually more like chatting with a dear friend who truly cares about your well-being. And now, after our deal has closed, I feel very confident in stating that he genuinely does care! It was an absolute pleasure working alongside Greg and seeing our home purchase come to fruition.

Gregory Hanner is extremely knowledgable of Connecticut law. He will work diligently for you to find the home with your criteria in mind. Greg has thorough knowledge of building, construction, utilities, septic, well as well as any other home items. You will not be disappointed. Greg helped with a review of a condo homeowner association clause. We were not aware of items we were not comfortable with. Not many agents will provide help in that manner.We are very happy with his service and you will be, too.
