Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
Clever does not “sell” personal information as that term is defined under the CCPA. When you use our Services to request a connection with a real estate agent or request a cash offer or direct purchase offer from a real estate investor, we disclose your personal information to Real Estate Agents or Real Estate Investors at your direction so that they may provide you with the services or transaction opportunities you have requested. These disclosures are made pursuant to your deliberate interaction with our Services and your expressed intent to be connected with a third-party real estate professional or investor. While Clever receives referral fees or other compensation from Real Estate Agents or Real Estate Investors in connection with successful real estate transactions, such compensation is for Clever’s referral services, marketing, and platform services – not for the sale of your personal information.
Clever may “share” personal information (as defined under the CCPA, meaning disclosure for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes) with advertising and analytics partners through cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies on our Website. The categories of personal information that may be shared in this manner include identifiers, internet or network activity information, and geolocation data. You have the right to opt out of such sharing as described below.
Disclosure of personal information to our Affiliates for the purposes described in this Policy, including AI development and internal business purposes, does not constitute a “sale” or “sharing” under the CCPA, as such disclosures are made for our own business purposes to entities under common control.
