Zillow matched me with this agent. Specified a preference for texting instead of email for general conversation and questions pertaining to the home search, and also requested the link to the curated list of available homes be sent via text (in addition to the email because I was unable to access it) Mark responded that the automated system did not allow for sending the link through text message (no big deal), but then proceeded to explain how to check my email and that if I wanted to search for a home I would have to use email, that he would not text the links to every available home. I again explained I was looking for communication through text as I wouldn’t be able to check email routinely for a conversation and dodged the intensity with a joke, which he took seriously before assuring me he was laid back. He explained he had showings to do and would get back to me afterward. He never responded with the original inquiry I asked about, not the curated list of houses, but instead sent me an email thanking me for my interest obtaining financing, (after previously telling him I wouldn’t need financing.)I don’t know, bad day maybe? Lol.Still, hard pass. Went with another agent.

I worked with Mark MacBain and he was excellent. He was incredibly upfront and ensured quality above all else. I told him my situation and what I wanted and we looked for houses together for a little bit of time. Some houses that I leaned towards out of rushing he deterred me away from which was absolutely the right move. When I found my house, he did everything he could to get the closing done and it was excellent. A perfect mix of professionalism in terms of doing his job and casualness in terms of giving me advice and pointing me in the right direction. I was actually on vacation when we found good houses and he toured the houses via video call to show me everything, one of which is the house I am now happily living in. Seriously, this guy is rad and if it weren't for him and by extension this house, I don't think my life would be nearly as in order as it is right now. Absolutely excellent realtor.

Mark s the most responsive and dedicated real estate agent I've ever worked with. In a horribly crowded market he was able to find us a good deal on a fantastic home. He had to go through endless showings and crazy bidding wars, but he stuck with it the whole time.

Mark is one of the best! I can not say enough good things about him. He definitely went above and beyond his job description. Any questions or concerns we had he answer in a timely manner, and if he didn’t know the answer, he would do his research and find it! He also made himself available whenever we needed him, he would look at houses with us at all hours of the day/night to coordinate with our schedules. He was extremely accommodating. You can tell that he truly wants you to find the home of your dreams, and he won’t stop until you are completely satisfied! 10/10 would highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed!

I can’t say enough good things about choosing Mark to be my agent. Mark goes above and beyond for his clients. Any questions I had he answered, and any question he didn’t know the answer to he found out. He is active in finding the home you love and is not just there to get paid. He is right there with you every step of the way, and when he isn’t physically there and you need him, you can trust him to be responsive by phone. He is extraordinarily knowledgeable in his career, which helps makes you feel comfortable as a client who doesn’t know the ropes. When we sell or buy again, we will choose him.
