I sold one house with Mr. Lister, but it was all downhill from there. I’ve had my property listed with Mr. Lister for almost a year, and from my experience with Jeremy McDonnough, the service declined the moment I made it clear I wasn’t upgrading beyond the Quick List Package or agreeing to the 2% commission he pushed early on. After that, communication and professionalism took a sharp downward turn.I reached out after months of silence to ask basic questions about the listing I had already paid for. Jeremy said he’d call the next day; he never did. When I followed up, instead of finalizing a solution, he accused me of trying to get free guidance and became argumentative. He even told me I could move my already-paid-for listing somewhere else. That’s the level of support I received on an issue that required immediate attention.If you’re thinking about using this service, here’s what you should know:• The Quick List Package comes with minimal help, and nearly every small change carries an extra charge.• You’ll likely still pay the buyer’s agent commission—even though that isn’t made as clear as it should be.• Once you decline upsells, expect responsiveness to drop off fast.A flat-fee listing can save money, but my experience involved poor communication, unexpected costs, and service that declined the moment I didn’t spend more. Be prepared for the trade-offs.

If only we did not have to pay our full service seller agent a commission, we could have afforded to accept the offers that we received with her. What to do? We said goodbye to our realtor and listed our house through Mr. Lister, enabling us to accept a much lower price. We had eight showings in a couple of weeks, a contract in 28 days, and went to closing forty days after the contract. It was easy to work with the people from Mr. Lister. The photographer did a great job on our virtual tour. The full-size, professional style for sale sign provided made it look like we were selling with an agent. We made use of the lock box option for our showings. Thank you Mr. Lister! You helped us do in less than one month what we could not do with a full service realtor in three months.

Maynard is extremely professional and responsive. He returns your calls almost immediately! He listens to your questions and provides relevant advice with your best interests in mind. I can't comment on his negotiation skills, as our home has not yet gone under contract, but he has been great support to us as we ventured out into the FSBO waters. We highly recommend Maynard!
