I toured this home in September 2025 after seeing four previous pending sales fall through earlier in the year. I contacted the listing agent, Claire Paris, hopeful that this would finally be our chance to buy a home and start a new chapter for our family.I submitted an offer in the first week of November with the plan to close in early December so we could be settled before the holidays. Instead, the process quickly became a series of missed deadlines, unfinished repairs, and poor communication. Each delay came with little explanation and no clear plan to fix the issues.Closing was pushed back multiple times, eventually landing on December 22nd. During that entire period, I had completed every buyer requirement weeks in advance — financing secured, funds in escrow, utilities arranged — while repairs and contracted work remained incomplete. My realtor had to step in repeatedly just to get responses or movement.Because of these delays, I was forced to move over Christmas with my toddler. Christmas Eve was spent carrying boxes, trying to make the house livable, and rushing to set up a tree so my child could still have some sense of normalcy and joy. What should have been a happy milestone became stressful, exhausting, and heartbreaking.Once we moved in, the reality of the situation became even harder to ignore. Issues that were supposed to be resolved before closing were still present, including exposed wiring under the kitchen sink, no power to the shop as specified, missing baseboards, and other unfinished work throughout the home. Instead of enjoying our first Christmas in our new house, we were dealing with problems that should have been addressed long before move-in day.As a first-time homebuyer, this experience was deeply discouraging. Buying a home is supposed to be exciting — especially when you’re doing it for your family — but this process took away moments we will never get back. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this agent to buyers or sellers who value communication, accountability, and care during such an important life event.

Claire and her team are absolutely amazing. Claire is so smart and knowledgable and also incredibly nice! I felt like she went above and beyond in helping me not only find my new home, but in supporting me through the process, getting bids for work that needed to be done and providing me lists of service providers she and her team have vetted. Claire is an excellent negotiator. She listens fully, never pressures or tries to influence in any way but provides honest answers when asked.

Claire and her team at Paris Group Realty are absolutely amazing!!! My husband and I are first time home buyers, and they were SO helpful, patient, supportive, and diligent through the whole process. Touring homes with Claire was a blast- she is so fun and really knows her stuff (she's been in the industry in Portland for I think 25 years). Once we got to the offer stages at a couple homes, she was so great with giving us the information to think through, providing a listening ear when we needed to talk things out, would dig up and follow up with answers to our questions, and would offer her two cents when we asked for it since we are new to this whole process and valued her insight.Once we had an offer accepted and went into escrow, Claire and her team handled what felt like absolutely everything for us. We had documents to read and sign, but they handled all the communications with the lender, title company, inspector, sellers, and others to make sure everything was on track and accounted for. I can't tell you how valuable this was to us since we are first time buyers and had no idea where to begin or how anything worked.I'm so excited to say we just got the keys to our new (and first!!) home. Claire, Josh, Brittany, and the team were so kind and helped us celebrate. After all, we made it to the finish line all together. Paris Group Realty recently helped my wife and I purchase a home near Portland, Oregon. In our three months searching, the Paris team was incredibly patient and supportive by showing us over a dozen homes and encouraging us to find a property best suited to our needs and desires. Throughout the process, Claire Paris and her colleagues displayed their expert knowledge of the local neighborhoods and the evolving market. Claire, together with team members Brittany, Will, Josh, and Heather, were responsive to us seven days a week, were always punctual for appointments, and bent over backwards to answer every question we had and to accommodate our requests to tour homes over a wide geographic area. Claire was especially instrumental in negotiating the purchase of our current home, despite our need to offer considerably less than the asking price. Finally, during escrow, Paris team member Kelly did a phenomenal job coordinating an array of inspections and varied contractors, all of whom addressed our concerns and made repairs before closing.
