Never responded to my inquiry • Brigham City, UT • 2025

I recently worked with Andy Berchtold to oversee a purchase a home and was extremely disappointed by his forceful and blatantly disrespectful tactics in pushing me to use a specific lender who repeatedly set expectations for providing loan information that were never met, provided inaccurate loan information, and delayed access to information prohibiting other financial options. Andy, being made aware of the issues met with me, dressed me down for expecting promised information, being disappointed in service quality received, for not be amenable to accepting the only one loan option the lender never actually provided that “could close” in accordance with the REPC and for considering withdrawal from negotiations. Upon discovering significant discrepancies in the interest rate (increased 6.625, 7.007, 7.375) and closing rates which significantly impacted my monthly payments, Andy responded to those concerns by pressuring me to close quickly, assuring me that everything would be correct but instead changed terms of the loan and told me to “Suck it up.”Andy then chastised me for asking the buyer’s agent representing me if she could schedule an inspection. He stated he feels “inspections mean nothing in UT”, “no inspectors in UT are qualified or properly trained”, and my request was not merely unnecessary but demanding as his “realtor’s should not be asked to schedule inspections”, ignoring the intention of the request was due to my schedule flexibility, my realtor wanting to attend and me trying to make it work for their schedule.I notified Andy Berchtold of the ending of our business relationship on the last day to cancel contract as I still had no information, no contact from Andy post dress down and would be closing with he and his lender representing (or not) me and my best interest. My interaction with Andy Berchtold was unprofessional, predatory and unnecessarily disrespectful. A zero or negative starred option would be a more accurate rating for the experience reviewed.

Helped me buy home • 2015

We used Andy Berchtold to buy/sell our home in Brigham City, UT about 6 years ago and he was outstanding.About a year ago my wife and I were in the market for a new home for our growing family. Before giving Andy a call, I decided to conducted a lot of research to see who would be the best choice in our area. The Besst Realty Team stood out: their social media presence was strong, and I could tell they put a lot of work into their clients. We spoke with Andy and then met with him later that evening. He spent hours answering our questions, providing objective data regarding our wants and needs in a new home. Andy was great at providing tons of info on homes currently on the market in the area. Andy made the process incredibly easy and took extra steps many other Realtors don't (but should). This stage is where Andy truly shined. We made a list of 3-4 houses we found online that we wanted to see. We booked a day with Andy, and he suggested a few more homes that we added to the list. The first house we viewed was the one I had been dreaming about. I'd already decided in the back of my mind that it was "the one". As we walked through the rooms I felt nervous and a little discouraged. Most of the rooms had poor natural light and needed expensive renovations to make them workable for our style. It didn't match up to the hype I had created in my mind, and we agreed to keep looking. After the next few homes we started to feel a trend developing. There was something about each home that we considered a deal breaker. Andy was there to help make suggestions along with answer any of our concerns that we had along the way. He was there to make sure we did not make any wrong decisions. One morning I got a call from Andy around 9 a.m. He had a house that had just gone up for sale, and we had the chance to be the first to see it. And the icing on the cake was It had a detached garage/shop (Any guys dream) Since it was an older home, we were super paranoid about it getting snatched up. I left for a long lunch break and picked up the wife to go see the house. I wasn't particularly excited as it was sounding to good to be true.As soon as my wife and I pulled up to the house, we squeezed hands. It was an adorable home with white trim and a big front porch... And yes a huge 750sqft fully finished detached garage! Andy was already there, and as we stepped onto the front porch, he said, "I like this one." We were giddy. The home still had a family living in it. I've heard a lot of people say that it's easier to look at empty houses. While I do agree, I also enjoyed looking at houses that were still occupied. It can be helpful to view a furnished home. For example, you get to see what size tables and beds they had in all the rooms and if it feels roomy or cramped. Plus, my wife said it's kinda fun to see how other people decorate. By the time we got downstairs, we were already asking Andy what kind of offer he advised. We fell IN LOVE. I know how cheesy and dramatic this is starting to sound, but that was a day we will never forget. We snapped some cell phone photos and booked our meeting to make an official offer later that afternoon. Needless to say we purchased the home a little over a year ago and are in more love with it now, than we were before. It couldn't have been a more pleasant experience.I've recommended Andy Berchtold and the Besst Realty team to everyone I know. He's a true professional and a genuinely nice guy. I realize it won't always be this easy to buy or sell your home, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better Realtor.--Beauregards
