As first time home buyers, we entered the house hunting world with more than a little naïveté (FHA vs. conventional? Escrow - what’s that?) However, we just closed on our first home, and all of the credit goes to Matt Rose. We were prepared for a several month long battle given COVID and the current real estate market, but we had an accepted offer after viewing only four homes - and it was a perfect house in our ideal neighborhood. From our first meeting with Matt, he listened to our financial concerns and what we were looking for in a home. He never belittled us for our budget constraints and never pushed us to venture out of our agreed upon comfort zone. Matt always answered our calls and texts promptly and was always patient with our endless barrage of questions. Matt got us in to see homes the day that they were listed and on the off chance that he wasn’t available, he was able to find an associate who could. When we did find our new home, he got the offer out promptly and corresponded with us well into the night as there was some back-and-forth with the seller. Matt was able to explain the different types of contingencies and show us how to ensure that we had the strongest offer. Once our offer was accepted, we needed a lawyer, a mortgage broker, etc. and everybody that we came into contact with was great. Matt’s exhaustive list of resources was also a life saver during inspections. He always had somebody that he could call when something came up. We had problems that came up during the inspection that were resolved DURING the inspection. Matt also has a true understanding of the areas that he works within. He was able to offer recommendations on everything from local breweries and shopping to garbage pickup. If you are looking to buy a home in the CT area, I really don’t think that you can go wrong by working with Matt Rose. He made the process, quick, easy and fun. I can honestly say that we ENJOYED the process of home buying, and we are under no illusion that our experience would have been very different if we had not chosen to work with Matt!

As the conservator for a friend, I needed to sell a run-down cluttered home. Matt was incredible to work with. He helped me see the value in the home, price it fairly, and connected me with resources to get the house ready for the market. He was incredibly responsive to all of my questions and requests. What could have been a difficult process was made easy due to Matt's expertise and willingness to help with all of the details. I highly recommend him if you are buying or selling.
